SHOULD YOU BUY FLOWER KNOWS MAKEUP?
Have you heard of Flowers Knows? Flower Knows is a Chinese makeup brand that sells beautifully packaged beauty products. As I’m sure you can see in the pictures I’ve posted to this blog (and the ones you’ve probably seen elsewhere on the internet) this company’s makeup looks VERY fancy. But fancy packaging doesn’t necessarily mean good products, right? Well, if I do my job correctly, you should have your answer (or, at least, my opinion) by the end of this blog post.
If you don’t know who I am, I go by the name Phantom. I’m a professional mermaid. A Gothic professional mermaid. I apply copious amounts of makeup as part of my job because my main mermaid character that I use for work, Mermaid Phantom, requires a very dolled-up look. Since I’ve been doing this professional mermaid thing since 2016, I’ve quite honestly tried (and compiled) way more makeup products over the years than I care to admit. So while I’m not a makeup expert, I do know a thing or two about cosmetics. Okay. Cool. Thank you for giving it a look! And now, let’s dive into what you came here for. Are Flower Knows products worth buying? Currently, I own three blushes, two powdered foundations, four eyeshadow palletes, one eyeliner and four lip glosses just from their Moonlight Mermaid collection. While I don’t love the blushes (they are a bit too pale for my taste), I do absolutely adore all of the other products that I’ve purchased from them. In fact, unless I don’t have the color I want in one of my Flower Knows eyeshadow palletes, I almost exclusively use Flower Knows eyeshadow for pretty much all of my makeup routines nowadays. I love, love, LOVE how their glittery eyeshadows look over other colors too. It creates a kind of wet shine and, as a mermaid, I’m here for it!
Okay, so I like their eyeshadow a lot. But what about the other products? To make this easy on you, I’m just going to outline the other products with bullet points. It’ll be easier for my hands to type, and easier on your eyes too. Sound good? Great! Here we go!
FLOWER KNOWS MAKEUP REVIEW
Moonlight Mermaid Blush: I find it too pale. But I’ve heard it is buildable! However, I usually opt for something else when it comes to blush.
Moonlight Mermaid Eye Liner: This eyeliner gives you so much control over what you’re doing- I love it! It isn’t as waterproof as they claim it to be, however, so I don’t use it for mermaid events- only dry-land shenanigans.
Moonlight Mermaid Setting Powder: I own both shades of their setting powder. I prefer the pale shade, since it matches my skin better (aside from when I tan in the summer) and I like to use it as my first layer of eyeshadow. It blends really well! For my dark-skinned beauties, I doubt either shade will match you very well, so that is a downside. :(
Moonlight Mermaid Lip Gloss: To me, it tastes like green apples… which I love! And so does my boyfriend. Hehehe! This lip gloss not only makes my lips look so glossy and pretty, but I also find it to be quite moisturizing. A little bit goes a long way. I’ve always preferred lipstick to lip gloss, but the hydrating qualities (and good taste) of these ones by Flower Knows do have me reaching for my lip gloss more often! I find that my hair sticks to it less than other brands… which is a weird sidenote? Honestly. 10/10
Swan Ballet Eyeshadow: This eyeshadow palette has become one of my favorites to use, since red, black and white are some of my go-to colors. The pigments are rich and I personally find that this palette creates less fallout than other red and black eyeshadows I’ve used before. Also a 10/10

In summary, I really like the makeup products from Flower Knows and, as a professional mermaid, am especially a fan of their Moonlight Mermaid makeup collection. Overall, I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality makeup that looks nice on the outside and makes your face look nice too. The packaging is also so nice that it probably won’t end up in the trash but in a treasure stash instead… so that’s a win too.
