SWIMMING IN A MOONSONG MAGIC MERMAID TAIL
In October of 2021, I had the honor of seeing a Moonsong Magic mermaid tail for the first time in person. Kylee, the owner of Moonsong Magic, sent me one of her new Halloween mermaid tail designs to try out for myself (I am a Gothic mermaid, so a black tail totally makes sense!). Even though Lake Michigan was quite cold by the time the tail made its trip from South Africa to Traverse City (then again, when isn’t it cold??), I was determined to test it out in the crystal clear water.
And so, on October 22nd, I dove into Lake Michigan to film the video you see above. My body went numb quite quickly and I was not able to stay in the water for nearly as long as I would have liked to. But, I did get to test the tail out and am happy to announce that I will be wearing it a LOT next summer (and perhaps in a few pools in the meantime). It fit my body perfectly, looked incredible in the water (the fins flow very nicely) and did not cause a noticeable amount of drag.
If you’re interested in getting a mermaid tail that’s not from one of the major companies (and thus isn’t seen everywhere), I totally think it would be worth your time to check out Moonsong Magic’s shop. Below you’ll find a few quick facts about this swimmable mermaid tail.
