MICHIGAN’S UPPER PENINSULA MERMAID
Not too long ago, my dad and I took a trip to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula pretty much JUST so we could swim in our third Great Lake (Lake Superior). Being from the Traverse City area, I’m no stranger to the natural beauty of Northern Michigan, however, even I had to pick my jaw up off of the ground after seeing the “UP” for the first time. Sure, there are a lot of abandoned buildings, pasties shops and biting bugs in the UP, but if you look past that, you’ll see countless miles of untouched forests, moss-covered boulders and cliffs, breathtaking waterfalls and one of the most stunning lakes of them all- Lake Superior.
Aside from the daily goal of swimming in some body of water or another, our trip to the Upper Peninsula didn’t have any sort of agenda. Yeah, we went there to capture some awesome content, but we didn’t have any deadlines to meet or any specific plans. We drove a TON, saw cool sights, filmed a few things and we swam...a lot! Wandering aimlessly isn’t my usual plan of attack, but when in Northern Northern Michigan, going with the flow seems to work out well. :)
Although I haven’t finished editing any of the photos or videos from out adventures in Lake Superior and around Miner’s Castle, I do have a few photos to share of my time spent as a mermaid in Scott Falls (near Au Train). There’s a video too (see above) but it is important to note that some of the opening footage you see is from various other waterfall locations, not just Scott Falls. ANYWAYS! Enjoy the photos and the video… stay tuned for more Upper Peninsula Mermaid footage!
MERMAID AT A MICHIGAN WATERFALL
Thank you for swimming by to watch this relaxing (and short) video of Mermaid Phantom in the Upper Peninsula. Oh… and thanks for looking at the pictures too! It took me FOREVER to edit them!
More videos and photos coming soon! Until then, stay magical!
