Mermaid Phantom Swimming in the Lake
Mermaid Life ♥
Back in September of 2016, I went for a swim in Grand Traverse Bay with my MerNation silicone mermaid tail. Even though I couldn't see where I was going (I swim without visual aid, since I don't have goggles and my contacts will fall out in the water), I enjoyed the feeling of mermaiding in the open waters with the sunshine at my back. I mean, the lake certainly didn't feel like bath water, but with the combination of the sunny weather and my beautiful layer of scales, it really didn't feel all too bad. Because of the extra insulation that my mertail gave me, I was able to splash around and do dolphin kicks for well over an hour on that beautiful Northern Michigan day.
My time at Haserot Beach (located in Northport, Michigan) started with getting hauled out of the car and wheeled down towards the bay on my tiny little dolly that I bought from Home Depot juuuuust for moving mermaids around. My father and brother helped me go from the parking lot to the water safely and also were responsible for the mermaiding video you just watched... since my brother filmed while my dad verbally guided me along the shore (and removed a few random bricks that were directly in this clumsy mer's path!). I am soooo thankful that they agreed to lend me a hand (or four) so that I could take my mermaid tail out for the last swim of the season.
Wait... this happened waaaaaaaaaay back in September!?!?! Why am I just releasing this mermaid cosplay video now???
Well, the day I had this magical little outing, I figured I'd have my brother capture as much footage as possible so that I could slowly release some mermaiding videos over the course of the cooler-weather seasons for you to see. Lake Michigan doesn't tend to get warm enough for swimming in until mid-summer, so spacing out the swimming videos made sense to me (I think I have another 2 or 3 left to show you too, just so you know! ;D). With any luck, I will have some mermaiding clips to show you from events and parties coming up soon also, in addition to more footage of Michigan's "real live mermaid" dashing around in the lake.
I love being a mermaid very, very much and have such a great time putting together these YouTube videos for you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
With that being said, if you know of anyone who you think may be interested in hiring me for their event, party or festival, then it would be a-w-e-s-o-m-e of you to send them to TheMagicCrafter.com. Like... I would be so grateful! XD
Anyways, thank you so much for diving into the mermaid world with me in the middle of this cold and gloomy February! When is Spring going to get here!?!?! I'm feeling antsy! Hahaha!
