Pirates, Books, and a Mermaid!
As you may know, I had the pleasure of making my first dry-land public appearance as a mermaid yesterday evening. I attended a pirate themed book fair at a small school in Northern Michigan where I took pictures with those who stopped by and handed out treasures to those who came up to say "hello." I was very nervous about going to my first event, but in the end I had nothing but a wonderful time. The library of the school was filled with good books, smiling faces and lots of sparkly sea shells. Last night's event was very magical and I cannot wait to attend many, many more just like it.
In case you were unable to be present yesterday, here are some pictures from the event so that you can see some of what went on.

Back to the Lake!
I hope everyone who came to the book fair yesterday had as great a time as I did and that they managed to snag a few new books to read too. Thank you Northport Public School and staff for allowing me to attend this event, and thank you mom for being my lovely helper, photographer, and water-fetcher... and for reading me that cute book that you found! (It was called "Mother Bruce," and it was hilarious!)
This mermaid looks forward to spending a lot more time on land in the future. Maybe I'll see you around?
Thanks for checking out my blog! If you were at the event and would like a photo of you or your child sent to you, then please email me at Phantom@TheMagicCrafter.com and I can see if mom managed to snap one for you. (Don't worry! I won't be posting pictures of others without their prior consent.)
