MERMAID IN MACKINAW CITY
With everything that’s been going on in the world, I’ve had very few events to attend as a performing mermaid. Sure, there has been the odd virtual event here and there, but for the most part, this year has been quite slow. Because of this, I’ve had plenty of time to (safely) explore new beaches and locations around Michigan. In fact, a few days ago, dad and I traveled all the way to the Mackinac Bridge! And… I FINALLY got to swim in another one of the Great Lakes. THANK YOU LAKE HURON! While I don’t have the edited underwater and above water “Mermaid in Mackinaw City” videos edited yet, I do have some pictures for you to see. If you would like to see the videos of Mermaid Phantom (me) swimming in Lake Huron, please make sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel and turn on notifications (by clicking the bell) so that you don’t miss the videos when they are posted.
Furthermore, if you would like to hire me to swim up to a beach near you, please email me at Phantom@TheMagicCrafter.com with your inquiry. You can also purchase some of these photos as prints on various items (posters, mugs, pillow cases, ect) on my Redbubble Shop. Please enjoy the photos!
*EDIT (from the future): I finally uploaded the Lake Huron mermaid video! You can watch it by clicking on the video above!
Mermaid by the Mackinac Bridge in Mackinaw City, Michigan. Mermaid Phantom can usually be found near Traverse City or Leelanau County, but she does travel all over Michigan and has even been to Singapore! She can’t see well, but that doesn’t keep her from exploring new places.
Mermaid Phantom’s first swim in Lake Huron. This performing mermaid is typically seen swimming in Lake Michigan. However, she was recently able to visit Mackinaw City for a swim in Lake Huron! Lake Huron was great, but Lake Michigan certainly feels more like home.
There was something in the lake… I think someone must have spilled giggle juice into it! Here’s a candid photo of Mermaid Phantom giggling while likely talking to a person standing on the shore. Is it the best photo? No. Is my face distorted? Yes! Do I care? Absolutely not! However, I wish my makeup would have turned out better that day. We originally planned to visit shipwrecks, so I had my “pirate face” on.
Mermaid by the Mackinac Bridge. As the sun sank below the horizon, it created some very lovely colors on the waters of Lake Huron. Mermaid Phantom can be seen here looking dreamily off into the distance. She can’t see very well, so she was likely staring at a tree… but she did enjoy the general shapes and colors of Mackinaw City.
Thank you for checking out some of my photos from my Mackinaw City Mermaid Adventure! There will be a video of me swimming in Lake Huron by the Mighty Mac on YouTube soon, so please be sure to subscribe so that you can see it! In the meantime, new videos are posted to my YouTube Channel every Friday at 3pm EST. May I suggest you start with this fun, lighthearted and SUPER relatable “Mermaid Quarantine Video?”
Have a magical summer!
